Questions people actually ask

Are my belongings insured during the move?
Yes. All moves are covered by our goods-in-transit insurance up to £50,000. For high-value items we recommend discussing additional cover when booking.
How does the 30% deposit work?
When you book online you pay a 30% deposit by card to lock your date — it comes straight off your final bill. The balance is paid on completion by card, bank transfer or cash. Prefer not to pay online? Book a callback instead — no payment is taken until your quote is confirmed.
What if my completion date moves?
Date changes are free with 48 hours' notice, and provisional bookings made before exchange of contracts move free at any time. Your deposit simply moves with you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your move, with your deposit refunded in full. Within 48 hours the deposit is non-refundable, and cancellation on the day is charged at 50% of the quote.
Can you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes — standard items like beds and tables are £20 each, wardrobes and complex flat-pack £40. Add it when you book online, or ask on the phone.
Do you provide packing materials?
Blankets and straps are always free. Our full packing service includes all materials — 1-bed £250, 2-bed £375, 3-bed £550, 4-bed £750 — or grab a materials-only bundle from £45, delivered.
Do you charge VAT?
No — we're not VAT registered, so there's nothing added on top. The price you see is the price you pay.
How far in advance should I book?
Four to six weeks is ideal. Fridays, Saturdays and month-end dates genuinely go first, so book those as early as you can. Need something urgent? Call us — we regularly fit in same-day and next-day moves.
